Our republic developed and approved in 2015 the Concept for the Development of Public-Private Partnership for 2015–2019. The law "On public-private partnership" was adopted in the same year. This was necessary to solve many problems. It was necessary to update social and engineering infrastructures, modernize housing and communal services, and develop the road network. The law reflected the interaction of the private and public sectors of the economy in the implementation of socially significant projects.
However, this law has not yet been implemented. According to the Government, this indicates the need to create more attractive conditions for investment and the participation of the private sector in the implementation of socially significant projects and programs.
The law-in-draft that was considered at its meeting by the relevant committee proposes to liberalize the mandatory terms of the public-private partnership agreement.
The Agro-Industrial Complex Committee supported this initiative and will recommend the Supreme Council to adopt the law-in-draft in the first reading.
