The coronavirus pandemic opened up new opportunities for journalists. The chief editors of the state media of Pridnestrovie spoke about this today in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Public Associations, Sports, Information and Youth Policy. They submitted work reports to the Committee members. New methods and ways of working in the conditions of an emergency and pandemic are in the first place: telephone and online interviews, news related to coronavirus in the “top”.
The leaders of the republican newspapers Pridnestrovie, Adeverul Nistryan, and Gomin noted that, despite the greater number of headings, including the anniversary of the Victory, the number of subscribers has slightly decreased. The deputies of the Committee emphasized that it is necessary to involve the administration of villages and towns in the subscription, and newspapers must also have Internet sites. The Head of the relevant civil service Lidia Kolodka assured: technical work on the creation and design of websites of republican newspapers is underway.
The chief editors of the Pridnestrovie News Agency and the First Pridnestrovian TV channel reported in their reports: the coronavirus pandemic was the impetus for the development of social networks. The desire to keep abreast of events, without waiting for information to appear on the site or in the evening news on television, attracted a large number of subscribers to the social network and not only from Pridnestrovie.
Radio-1 updated its evening broadcast, held a number of actions and 3 projects for the 75th anniversary of the Great Victory. Creative team of the state radio has also prepared several interesting projects for the new season, which will begin in September.
The reports of the chief editors of the state republican media will be considered by Deputies of the Supreme Council at one of the next plenary meetings.
