Cancellation of excise duty for heirs

A group of deputies of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex issues came up with the initiative to amend the law “On Excise Taxes”. The law-in-draft was developed on the basis of citizens' appeals. There is a legal norm in the republic At the moment, according to which participants in military operations to protect the PMR and liquidators of the Chernobyl accident can import cars for personal use without paying excise duty.

If the vehicle is reissued, the heir will also be exempted from paying excise duty. At the same time, the norm of the law will be preserved, which prohibits the heir from making any transactions with this vehicle for three years from the moment the car was imported into the territory of our republic.

The Economic Policy Committee supported the initiative of colleagues and will recommend the Supreme Council to adopt the law-in-draft in two readings at once.
