Representatives of the Republican Union of Architects applied to the Committee for State Regional Policy. Members of the public association expressed concern about problems that existed many years in the urban development sector. As Vasily Rodionov noted, the professional community is ready to work together to improve the situation.
In the opinion of the head of the responsible committee Oleg Vasilaty, the problems in the sphere of architecture and town planning are associated with insufficient legal regulation and, in fact, the lack of state policy in this sphere.
The architectural sector is also experiencing staff shortages. Master plans for the development of cities and regions have exhausted themselves and have ceased to be relevant. Today it remains unclear how the shape of cities will change in the future. Parliamentarians proposed to form an interdepartmental working group with the participation of representatives of the Supreme Council, the Government, the public, local authorities and the prosecutor's office to develop a unified state policy in the sphere of architecture. The meeting in this format will take place in the near future.
Deputies in the course of the meeting of the committee examined the legislative initiative prepared by the parliamentarian Oleg Vasilaty. He proposed to supplement the Housing Code with the norm, which determines that the service "collection and removal of solid waste" is municipal.
According to Oleg Vasilaty, the adoption of the law-in-draft will allow to establish the status quo in this issue. The author noted that changes in the legislation will not entail the need for citizens to re-enter into contractual relations with service providers.
