The Government initiated amendments to the law “On the wages of public sector employees, monetary allowance for military personnel and persons equated to them according to the conditions of payment of monetary allowance, and the monetary maintenance of state civil servants”. The purpose of the law-in-draft is to provide educators in the healthcare system with the right to a premium for the qualification category along with educators in the education system. This norm has not been previously regulated at the legislative level.

“Taking into account the specifics of the activities of teachers, both in polyclinics and in hospitals, including specialized departments (neuropsychiatric department for the rehabilitation of disabled children with organic lesions of the central nervous system and musculoskeletal system, neurological department of the hospital for the treatment of patients with brain disorders circulation), it is proposed that health care workers (speech therapist, speech pathologist) provide the right to receive a premium for the qualification category that the law on wages is not provided for ”, - is noted in the explanatory note to the law-in-draft.

The deputies of the relevant committee proposed legislatively granting the right to an allowance for the category of teachers not only health organizations, but also specialized institutions providing social and educational work with children, and other organizations where teachers work. The law-in-draft is recommended for adoption in two readings during the plenary meeting.
