To ensure the safety of citizens

Deputies of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture considered a package of legislations aimed at strengthening the prevention of illegal drug use in educational institutions. The amendments made to the laws "On Education", "On basics of prevention of child neglect and juvenile delinquency" and "On Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances". Developers of amendments – are parliamentarians Mikhail Burla, Ilona Tyuryaeva, Oleg Khorzhan, Sergei Khankevich, Andrei Sipchenko - suppose that the introduction of the legislation would reduce the spread of this negative phenomenon. The proposed measures are educational, educational and administrative.

Members of the Supreme Council of the profile committee decided to recommend to the deputies to adopt the legislations in the first reading.

Deputies during the meeting considered another legislative initiative concerning the safety of citizens, or rather, pupils and students. Deputy Oleg Petrik proposed the introduction of hardware-software complex "Safe School" in educational institutions.

During the voting the law-in-draft was supported by deputies for the adoption in the first reading.
