New Provisions of the Law on the Parking Organization

It is not the first year that the issue of parking spaces has been relevant in the cities of Pridnestrovie. There are significantly more cars, and not all car owners are ready to leave their car far from home, so often many high-rise buildings are literally surrounded by parked cars around the perimeter. Personal vehicles are often left on lawns, playgrounds and in places that block the passage of special vehicles, fire engines and ambulances.

At the same time, the current legislation does not currently regulate the requirements for parking, as well as the conditions that must be met by parking spaces.

The Government came up with an initiative to create a legal basis for the organization of parking, as well as to entrust the state administrations of cities and districts with the authority to create public parking lots. At the same time, the required number of parking spaces for parking vehicles, according to the law-in-draft will be determined in accordance with urban planning regulations.

Deputies of the profile committee supported the law-in-draft with amendments to the law "On road safety" and will recommend the Supreme Council to adopt it in the first reading.
