Designed until 2028 new state target program "Prevention and treatment of HIV infection, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections" will come into effect in Pridnestrovie in 2025.
The state target programs in the field of medicine "Prevention of HIV / AIDS infection and sexually transmitted infections" and "Prevention of viral hepatitis B and C in the PMR" will expire on December 31, 2024. The Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic when developing new projects considered it appropriate to combine the two programs into one. The draft of the new expanded state program was considered today at a meeting of the parliamentary Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare.
The program, which will operate in the republic from 2025 to 2028, provides for the implementation of activities in 3 main areas: prevention of HIV infection, STIs and chronic viral hepatitis, ensuring universal access to treatment, care and support for people infected with HIV, VH and STIs, as well as ensuring effective program management.
The state program includes testing the population for HIV / syphilis and viral hepatitis, vaccination against the hepatitis B virus, informing various groups of the population about ways to prevent these diseases, as well as conducting ongoing monitoring.
The deputies of the relevant parliamentary Committee supported the draft state program "Prevention and treatment of HIV infection, viral hepatitis and sexually transmitted infections in the PMR" for 2025-2028" in the first reading. The deputy corps will consider the draft on its approval in the first reading at one of the upcoming plenary sessions.
