Deputies of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens considered the initiative of the President, proposed to strengthen the responsibility for violation of the rules of stay in Pridnestrovie of foreign citizens and persons without citizenship. This is the introduction of this kind of punishment as administrative arrest, followed by administrative expulsion for up to three days, foreigners and stateless persons, again violating the rules of stay in the country, as well as transit rules. Citizens of PMR living in the country without passport, residence permit or a temporary registration who were repeatedly brought to justice are proposed to expose such a penalty. The law-in-draft also mentions an increase in the fine from 15 MW to 30 MW in respect of persons who are invited foreign citizens and stateless persons to the republic, but do not provide them with a living area and ensure the timely registration, registration or de-registration.
As the head of the Legal Department of the Ministry of Interior Rodion Chebotar said, representing the law-in-draft, recently crime and delinquency in the country by foreigners or stateless persons became more frequent.
Members of relevant committee made a number of comments, including on the groundlessness of increasing responsibility for the citizens of PMR during the discussion of this initiative. Considering this, members will continue to work on the document.
Other amendments to the Administrative Code, proposes to fix the procedural powers of the Prosecutor requisition of administrative cases out of court, as well as the body authorized to consider cases on administrative violation of a law was also discussed at the Committee meeting. Members of the Committee will recommend will recommend this law-in-draft for adoption at the session of the Supreme Council in first reading taking into account comments and suggestions.
