Filling the Road Fund and equipment for firefighters

The deputies of the Committee considered the initiative of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, which amends the law “On approval of the state target program “Re-equipment of fire service vehicles” for 2021-2031”. When purchasing cars for the needs of firefighters, it was possible to save about 6 million 205 thousand rubles, the legislative initiative proposes to purchase one more ladder with these funds. This will provide additional opportunities for the fire department to conduct rescue operations and more effectively extinguish fires.

The issue of development and support of road infrastructure always remains relevant for any state. Deputies of the relevant Committee approved the initiative of the Government, which proposes to increase funding for the Road Fund:

- increase from 50 to 100% of the customs duty on import of vehicles older than 10 years;

- excise tax levied on imported gasoline, gas oils, as well as on the sale of compressed natural gas used as motor fuel (methane), from 40 to 50%;

- collection of so-called autovignettes from 40 to 100%;

- excise tax on the sale of liquefied hydrocarbon gas used as motor fuel in the amount of 100%.

The adoption of the law-in-draft will lead to an increase in the funds received by the Road Fund in the amount of approximately 43 million rubles annually. These funds will be used to repair and restore public roads in the republic.

The considered legislations will be included in the agenda of the next plenary session.
