Joint work of public authorities to declare an amnesty in connection with the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 and the 25th anniversary of the formation of PMR is at the finish line. At the same time the act of humanism is classified as the exclusive prerogative of the Supreme Council. The author of this legislative initiative was the deputy Galina Antyufeeva.

It is worth noting that amnesty is widely used by many countries, inter alia it is provided in all the legal bases of the Commonwealth of Independent States (CIS) and is usually timed to coincide with significant dates. This measure applies to persons who have committed crimes, and is motivated by considerations of humanity.

Discussion of received from legal persons legislative initiative and formed in the corresponding table amendments to the acceptance and rejection of a draft resolution on amnesty and regulations on the procedure for its use was at the last meeting of the responsible committee of the Supreme Council. Certain debates were caused by editorial wording regarding expiry of the amnesty term. This nuance of the proposed amnesty will be eliminated in working order. Expiration date - six months from the date of entry into force. For information: the last time amnesty was declared five years ago.

As we have previously reported, certain categories of persons from criminal responsibility or punishment are released in connection with the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and the 25th anniversary of the formation of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic the initiative proposed who have minor children, who suffer from serious diseases as well as those over 55 years old. The decisive condition is the absence of any admonition, during his stay in prison of the defendants, as well as full compensation to the injured side.

Parliamentarians are going to consider a legislative initiative of Galina Antyufeeva in the second reading during one of the June plenary session.

Deputies and representatives of the executive and judicial authorities during the last meeting of the parliamentary committee on legislation, also discussed the procedure for payment of state fees to agencies of state power and local self-government, if they act as plaintiffs and defendants, issues related to alimony, maintenance of operational investigative activity, organization and conduct of elections, the social protection of the population, in particular pensions.
