Young professionals are provided with a tax deduction in the amount of 70 minimum wage in Pridnestrovie today. A university graduate, college or technical school graduate in the first 3 years of work is recognized as a young specialist according to the current legislation. The right to a tax deduction arises from the date of completion of the first stage of higher education – balaclava. Many young people after graduating from the bachelor's program do not immediately find a job, but continue their studies in the magistracy. There have been situations in practice when graduates, having studied for two years in a master's program, found out during employment that instead of the prescribed three years, they can receive a tax deduction for only one year.
Deputies of the Youth Parliament first drew attention to the imperfections of the mechanism for granting a tax deduction. They discussed this issue at one of the plenary sessions and decided to turn to the deputies of the Supreme Council in order to solve the problem at the legislative level.
Ruslan Gareev, Anton Onufrienko and Boris German, being the subjects of the legislative initiative, sent the relevant law-in-draft to the Parliamentary Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media. The initiative proposes to grant the right to a tax deduction within 3 years not only to bachelor graduates, but also to master graduates. Those graduates who did not find employment after completing their undergraduate studies, but decided to continue their studies at the magistracy, will be entitled to a tax deduction within three years after receiving a master's degree, provided that they did not receive it earlier.
Deputies of the profile committee supported the law-in-draft and recommended it for consideration in the first reading at the plenary session.
