Art education and development of patronage will become an additional area of application of the Law "On Culture". These are just some of the points that a group of deputies of the Committee on Education, Science and Culture proposed to introduce into legislation. The duty of the state is prescribed - to create conditions for aesthetic education and art education of Pridnestrovians. Cultural values must be accessible to people with special needs, and young talents need a ground for self-realization. The norms governing international cooperation in the field of culture are also being improved. The document has been prepared for adoption in the second, final reading at the plenary session of the Supreme Council.

Another initiative, supported by the profile committee, concerns the inclusion in the state register of objects related to the creation and formation of Pridnestrovie. They can be classified as cultural heritage sites if they are less than 40 years old. The author of the initiative is the deputy of the Supreme Council Mikhail Burla. Its amendments, which reduce from 70 to 40 years the period for including immovable cultural heritage sites in the Unified State Register, have already been adopted by parliament in February this year. Now changes are being made in relation to the Pridnestrovian monuments.

The profile committee will recommend the law-in-draft for adoption in the first reading.

The Ministry of Education prepared a report on the implementation in 2019 of the state target program "Textbook". It was noted at the meeting of the Education Committee: mainly, in 2019, attention was paid to the production of textbooks for schools with Moldovan and Ukrainian languages of instruction. According to the deputies, it is necessary to provide textbooks for correctional schools in 2021. This will require more than 2 million rubles, said the Head of the committee Mikhail Burla. The Parliament will recommend to the Government to consider this issue. The draft resolution of the Supreme Council on the approval of the report will be considered by the deputies at a plenary session.
