The Purchase of Eye Prostheses Compensation

People with special needs people have the right to free provision of prostheses, which include eye prosthesis among other things. This is enshrined in the laws of the PMR "On the social protection of the disabled", "On the social protection of war veterans", "On the rehabilitation of victims of political repression". The deputies of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare proposed to pay compensation to disabled people for ocular prostheses purchased at their own expense since it is not possible to conclude contracts with manufacturers of ocular prostheses at present, and there is a need for ocular prosthetics among citizens.

The amount of compensation is proposed to be set in the amount of the cost of purchased ocular prostheses, but not more than 360 minimum wages (3492 rubles) for ocular prosthesis with a payment frequency of 1 time in 2 years. Payment of compensation is planned to be made through the redistribution of the approved limits of the republican budget funds provided for financing the costs of prosthetics.
