The Committee on Legislation held its last meeting of this session

The Committee on Legislation, Rights and Freedoms of Citizens continues to meet online. A number of legislations are included to the agenda today, which dealt with amending the Criminal, Arbitration Procedure Codes and the Code of Administrative Offenses.

In particular, it is proposed to improve administrative legislation in terms of the procedural regulation of the investigation of a number of offenses, by providing authorized officials with the opportunity to conduct an administrative investigation, as well as to apply such measures to ensure the proceedings in the case as delivery and administrative detention in proceedings on cases of administrative offenses in the region information and communication, as well as infringing on public safety.

The considered legislations will be submitted to plenary sessions for consideration by the entire deputy corps. Chairperson of the Legislation Committee Galina Antyufeyeva noted that the current meeting of the Committee was the last in the spring-summer session and thanked the deputies of the committee Oleg Petrik, Grigory Dyachenko, Vitaly Kalin, Oleg Belyakov, Vadim Lipsky and Valery Babchinetsky for their fruitful work.
