The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance continues its work. Today, during the meeting, parliamentarians together with representatives of the Government discussed some legislative initiatives that relate to amendments to the laws “On procurement in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”, “On the fundamentals of the tax system”. Deputies of the Committee considered the Government’s initiative to introduce amendments and additions to the Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “On the lease of state and municipal property”. We are talking about providing the opportunity for local authorities to apply a reduction factor of no more than 0.5 to unclaimed municipal property that is in inadequate condition when renting it out.
The reduction factor will make it possible to attract additional tenants and accordingly will allow both the placement of additional social facilities and the elimination of idle time in existing space, the Government noted.
For example, premises with a total area of almost 16 thousand square meters in the capital are now not in demand among potential tenants and are empty, this is approximately 27% of the total area of municipal property in Tiraspol.
The criteria by which an object will be recognized as unattractive for investment, according to the authors of the initiative, should be established by city and district councils. Deputies were interested in what exactly these criteria would be. As the authors of the legislative initiative noted, we will talk first of all about the year the object was built, its current condition, and location.
This is not important, according to the authors of the legislative initiative. The main thing is that the property that is currently idle is used and generates income for local budgets.
The Committee deputies adopted the law-in-draft in the first reading. It will be submitted for consideration and adoption by the plenary session in the near future.
The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance presented a draft Resolution of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic “On approval of the cost estimate for organizing and conducting additional elections of a deputy of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic of the VII convocation in the constituency Number 24 “Parkany” on March 31, 2024”. It is planned that deputies will approve it at one of the upcoming plenary meetings.
