Immunization of the population, prevention of tuberculosis, assistance to cancer patients and improvement of the quality of life of people with disabilities. Deputies of the relevant Committee listened to reports on the implementation of state programs in the field of social policy and healthcare.
A new 5-year state program for immunization of the population was approved in 2020. It is designed to improve the epidemiological situation in the country. More than 6 million rubles have been allocated for the purchase of vaccines against infectious diseases as part of the program, as well as for transportation and storage (for 2021).
No cases of diphtheria have been registered for more than 10 years in Pridnestrovie. No cases of rubella have been recorded since 2007, and cases of measles have been analyzed by doctors since 2008.
Deputies of the relevant Committee considered a report on the implementation of the state program for the prevention of tuberculosis for 2021–2025. It has been possible over the past two years to reduce the incidence of tuberculosis, including mortality, said the Minister of Health Christina Albul. A lot of work was done to prevent tuberculosis last year, more citizens underwent fluorography. TB doctors of the Republican Tuberculosis Hospital held round tables and lectures for schoolchildren, students and employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR.
There is "Oncology state program In Pridnestrovie: improving oncological care for the population of the PMR". The state program not only ensures the diagnosis of diseases at an early stage, but also treatment, and rehabilitation of cancer patients. 1523 cases of malignant neoplasms were detected in 2021, which is 4% less than in 2020, Pridnestrovian oncologists note.
The main goal of the Equal Opportunities state program is to draw attention to the problems of people with special needs and make the environment more accessible to them. Ramps and handrails are being installed throughout the republic to do this: they help not only the disabled, but also the elderly to move freely. In addition, last year more than 500 disabled people received wheelchairs, hearing aids, walkers and medical bandages. Various cultural events were held for this category of citizens. For example, the city of Dubossary hosted an online festival of creativity for children and young people with special needs, called "Tsvetik-Semitsvetik" with the support of the State Service for Culture in 2021. Specialists of the centers of social insurance and social protection of Pridnestrovie helped 45 people with disabilities find jobs. This information is reflected in the report of the Minister for Social Protection and Labor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Elena Kulichenko.
The Committee on Social Policy and Health Care will recommend to the Supreme Council to adopt reports on state programs at one of the plenary sessions.
