The Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic has developed law-in-draft "On Amendments and Supplements to the Law of the PMR "On the Republican Budget for 2025". It was presented by Finance Minister Alena Ruskevich in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance.
The draft document, which deputies considered in the first reading, proposes to optimize budget expenditures, including for target funds, and to direct part of the target revenues to salaries of public sector employees, pensions and benefits. That is, to fulfill the state's social obligations to citizens during the state of emergency in the economy. For example, the law-in-draft provides for a reduction in funding planned for the implementation among other things of the Capital Investment Fund, the Road Fund, the Entrepreneurship Development Fund, etc.
The text of the legislative initiative also specifies the parameters of the law on the republican budget, taking into account the balances of funds that were formed in the accounts of budgets at all levels as of January 1, 2025. Most of the balances 185 million rubles will also be used to pay wages, benefits and pensions during the state of emergency in the economy.
Deputies of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic asked the official representative on the law-in-draft a number of questions of interest. In the first reading, The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will consider amendments and additions to the law on the republican budget-2025 in the course of the plenary session tomorrow, on the 16th of April.
