Amendments to the law on notaries: simplification of the process of paying for the services of a public notary

It will become easier to pay for the services of a public notary. The law-in-draft that introduces amendments to the law "On Notaries" proposes to provide for such a possibility with the help of the state information system.

Parliamentarians discussed the initiative of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Protection of the Rights and Freedoms of Citizens.

It will be possible to pay the state fee, notary fee and confirm the fact of payment using the state information system on state payments. The legislative initiative introduces additions to the Law “On Notaries” for this purpose. It is necessary now in order to pay for the services of a public notary to use the services of a bank and the receipt, to confirm payment for the service, must be returned to the official.

The possibility of confirming payment for public services through an information system on public payments is becoming increasingly relevant with the development of electronic document management and the transfer of many procedures for issuing and submitting documents to the digital space. This opens up new prospects for improving the quality of service, the convenience of citizens and optimizing the work of public institutions, the committee believes.

The law-in-draft will be considered at one of the next plenary sessions, its adoption will require additional amendments to some by-laws.
