The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance prepared law-in-draft on amendments to the Republican Budget for 2024 for consideration in the second reading at a plenary session of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The law-in-draft was adopted in the first reading by the parliament on October 16. On October 24, deputies and invited representatives of the Government, the Accounts Chamber and other departments discussed the amendments prepared for the second reading of the legislative initiative in the course of the meeting of the relevant Committee. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic proposed to increase the income and expenses of the Capital Investment Fund and amend the budget of the Road Fund of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. Thus, the President proposes to increase the expenses of the Fund for Capital Investments in order to be able to include new objects and redistribute the funding limits for already approved social infrastructure objects.

As for the Road Fund of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, it is proposed to allocate 800 thousand rubles to finance the pre-project survey of three automobile bridges in the city of Tiraspol and for the capital repairs of the road along Lenin Street in Rybnitsa after the replacement of utility networks, 650 thousand rubles to subsidize the state administration of Grigoriopol for the elimination of emergency situations on the bypass road. Changes are also being made to the estimate of expenses of the Road Fund of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic based on appeals from the heads of state administrations of Bendery, Grigoriopol, Rybnitsa and Kamenka districts.

The main parameters of the republican, local and consolidated budgets will be changed after the adoption of the proposed changes. They are also enshrined in the law-in-draft.

The Supreme Council will consider the President's initiative in the second reading in the course of the plenary session on October 30.
