Last year, government health programs have been financed on average, only half (40% to 60%). This was reported by representatives of the meeting of the profile parliamentary committee from the Ministry of Health of the Republic.

The draft Programs, presented by the government includes expenses based on financial requirements. Taking into account that the overall level of the republic health status deteriorates (this is evidenced by growth in the number of patients with AIDS, TB, cancer), public spending in this area are assumed to be more serious than in previous years. Time will tell which means will be really allocated.

This time discussion of the problems of national importance related to tuberculosis turned out to be the most lengthy and diversified. The index today is close to critical - every thousand citizen of the republic is infected with this disease. The problem of isolation of patients is acute. Hospital has therapeutic housing for patients in Tiraspol and Bendery. The construction of one more is conducted at the expense of the NGO "Eurasian integration". Patients with this diagnosis today are free in their movements. There is no possibility of isolation of infectors and potential infectors, especially in cases of the necessity for involuntary hospitalization. There is another one insoluble problem - the lack of chlorination for cleaning and disinfection of wastewater that flow from Bender tuberculosis hospital buildings to the Dniester. The question is in the air since the mid 1980. There is still no possibility of disinfection. Light of hope appeared with the launch of the NGO "Eurasian integration" projects. Initially, it was about building and chlorination equipment exclusively for new housing being built by Russians. Later they expected that funds for the total chlorination of three buildings and infectious unit will be allocated. But the ruble crash has prevented the implementation of good plans. Parliamentarians are sure that it is impossible once again let the situation to take its course. If nowhere to wait longer help from, it is necessary to solve the problem on its own. First we need to develop the project and to prepare estimate documentation. This, too, will take time and cost, but it is necessary to start with something.

Representatives of the Ministry of Health to soften somehow the information blow reported that for at least in last five years has not been fixed intestinal tuberculosis in the country. Pulmonary form of the disease, suggesting the spread of airborne droplets is prevalent. That is, the construction of an insulator, rather than chlorination is still seen as the priority. Both of these issues are open. Their discussion, as well as the draft program of tuberculosis prevention in general, will continue in the framework of the next meeting of the relevant committee.
