Implementation of state programs in the healthcare sector

21.04.2022

Meeting of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare was held in the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. The deputies heard reports on the implementation of state programs in the healthcare sector.

The Minister of Health spoke about how the state program for the prevention of viral hepatitis B and C is being implemented in Pridnestrovie. Christina Albul noted that the necessity of developing and adopting a state program was associated with the unfavorable epidemiological situation of viral hepatitis in our country.

A new state program for the republic was developed on behalf of the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and is designed for 4 years. The program not only provides diagnostics of diseases, but also provides treatment and preventive measures to prevent new cases of viral hepatitis B and C.

Deputies of the relevant Committee considered the report on the implementation of the state program for the prevention of HIV/AIDS and sexually transmitted infections for 2020-2024. Employees of the Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases conducted express testing for HIV, syphilis and hepatitis C for everyone as part of a preventive campaign last year. 1644 people were tested. More than 32000 Pridnestrovians in total were examined for HIV infection, according to the report of the head of the Ministry of Health.

The Committee on Social Policy and Health Care will recommend to the Supreme Council to approve reports on state programs at one of the plenary sessions.
