The state and business interests: looking for the point of equilibrium

The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance continues to work on the draft law "On additional measures to stabilize the economy of PMR". The anti-crisis initiative of Alexander Korshunov and Peter Pasat was submitted for consideration in April last year.

There are many proposals of the Union of Industrialists, Agrarians and Entrepreneurs among discussed amendments. They are mostly associated with the mechanism of collection of customs duties and taxes, in particular, for the maintenance and storage of goods. Entrepreneurs and members of parliament based in their arguments on the need to help businesses stay afloat. Customs Committee, for its part, called for the replenishment of the budget. All interested parties will have to find the optimal solution.

The bulk of the work was made on the amendments. There were mostly technical adjustments. The law-in-draft next week will be considered in the framework of the relevant committee and will be soon presented for plenary session.
