The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance considered law-in-draft "On Amending the Law of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic "On Electric Power Industry" at a meeting, which is prepared for adoption in the second reading. The authors of the legislative initiative were the Supreme Council deputies Viktor Guzun, Andrei Mezhinsky, Vadim Levitsky and Vadim Kravchuk.
The deputies of the Committee on Economic Policy propose to establish a measure of state support in the form of a subsidy for entities in the electric power industry (producers) using renewable energy sources (except for hydroelectric power plants) in generating electricity to meet their own consumption. In particular, Article 7 of the Law "On Electric Power Industry" will be supplemented with a clause that will determine that electricity producers that use renewable energy sources (except hydroelectric power plants) when generating electricity for their own needs may be provided with a state subsidy from the republican budget to reimburse part of the costs incurred for payment for services rendered by entities in the electric power industry for the transmission, operational dispatch control and distribution of electric power, in an amount not exceeding 50% of the costs incurred.
The amendment was developed for the second reading, that assumes that this state support in the form of a subsidy will be transferred monthly from the republican budget directly to the accounts of entities in the electric power industry for services for the transmission, operational dispatch control and distribution of electric power, that is, the "ERES" State Unitary Enterprise. The mechanism for calculating the amount of subsidies and the procedure for their provision will be approved by the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
It is assumed that the amendments to the Law "On Electric Power Industry" for the activities of energy enterprises will help compensate for the energy deficit through the widespread use of alternative energy sources and energy-saving technologies. The Committee on Economic Policy, Budget and Finance will submit this law-in-draft to the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for consideration in the second reading.
