Summing up the preliminary results of the Committee on Security, Defense and peacekeeping during the 9th session of the 5th convocation, the chairman Andrey Sipchenko focused on the need to perform the main task of the legislators - to make life for the people easier.

The members of the Committee during the meeting considered a package of legislations relating to the judiciary and aimed at compliance with the principle of unity of the status of judges in Pridnestrovie, in particular, the requirements for candidates for these positions, on the appointment, tenure and termination of powers, in the process of harmonization of Pridnestrovian legislation with Russian. The group of 15 deputies were the authors. This, in particular, the establishment of the age limit for appointment as judges of the Constitutional Court of PMR. In accordance with applicable regulations of the Basic Law of the age limit is 58 years. Legislative initiative is proposed to increase it up to 65 years. However, the subject of lively discussions with legislators, representatives of the Government and the judiciary was also a proposal to extend the term of service of judges to 70 years. Deputies during the plenary session will consider and decide on this issue.

Consideration of the following item on the agenda - the law-in-raft "On Amendments to the Law of PMR "On military transport duties" was controversial. The meeting participants noted that currently registration of all vehicles is conducted in case of mobilization in the military commissariats of the Republic only off-road civilian cars are needed for different tasks.

The final decision of legislators is to leave discussed provisions of the law "On military transport duties" in the previous version. According to them, citizens with vehicles in the order of military transport duties shall, not later than ten (10) days report information to the commissariats on the transfer, sale, loss or failure of a term of more than a month they owned vehicles that should be transferred to the Armed Forces in the execution of the military transport duties.
