Geological exploration of Pridnestrovie

Monitoring the state of the geological environment, ensuring protection of subsoil and environment, as well as replenishing the mineral resource base of the PMR – these are the main directions of the State program for geological study, protection of subsoil and reproduction of the mineral resource base of the PMR for 2020–2024. The document was considered in the first reading by the deputies of the Committee on Agro-Industrial Complex. The program involves a complex of geological work, which includes the study of groundwater in the territory of the republic, the study and forecasting of landslides, as well as prospecting and exploration work for sands and sand and gravel rocks.

In general, the Committee supported the program and will recommend the Supreme Council to adopt it in the first reading. At the same time, the Head of the relevant committee Oleg Leontyev noted that the program for 2020-2024 is no longer relevant. The period of its validity must be changed to 2021–2025 or until 2026. All proposals of the Committee will be issued in the form of amendments and considered during the work on the document in the second reading.
