Two issues were brought to the agenda of the next meeting of the parliamentary commission on foreign policy and international relations. The first one concerned the law-in-draft, proposed by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky "On Ratification of the Treaty on Friendship, Cooperation and Partnership between the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic and the Republic of Abkhazia". The information on it was made by the plenipotentiary representative of the Republic of Abkhazia in Pridnestrovie Alexander Vataman.

Over 30 different documents regulating our relations with Abkhazia in the sphere of trade, economy, science, culture, and humanitarian issues were signed by the parties in the development of the treaty of friendship over the years. This year, for example, the Supreme Council ratified an agreement on mutual visa-free travel of citizens of the two countries.

September 29, 2017, during his visit to Sukhum, the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and his Abkhaz counterpart Raul Khajimba signed a new version of the treaty on friendship, cooperation and partnership between the PMR and Abkhazia. He, according to Alexander Vataman, "meets the current realities". In accordance with the current legislation, the Supreme Council is to ratify this document.

Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Vice Speaker of Parliament, head of the parliamentary commission for foreign policy and international relations Galina Antyufeeva made a report about the recent trip to Brussels for the participation of the XI European Russian Forum.

She also said that in the capital of Belgium, the official representatives of our republic also informed numerous interlocutors about the current situation in the negotiation process, mentioned non-acceptance by Pridnestrovie of installation of joint posts of Moldova and Ukraine on our border. The concern of the official representatives of the Russian Federation in the EU and NATO causes the drift of neutral Moldova towards the North Atlantic bloc. At the same time, they highly appreciated the resumption of the negotiation process in the "5 + 2" format, to the fact that the parties managed to reach agreement on some humanitarian issues.

On the margins of the Brussels forum, Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev held talks with his counterpart from South Ossetia Dmitry Medoyev. The heads of the foreign ministries of the two states signed a corresponding communiqué. Deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Galina Antyufeeva mentioned relations with fraternal states - South Ossetia and Abkhazia.

The head of the parliamentary commission on foreign policy and international relations, Galina Antyufeeva noted the positiveness of the meetings held in Brussels with members of the Federation Council of the Russian Federation. According to her, out of communication with her Russian counterparts, she concluded, "Russia will not leave the Pridnestrovian people and will not betray".
