Galina Antyufeeva, "We appreciate the peacekeeping mission"

One of the frequently asked questions concerned citizens that the deputies allegedly considering the withdrawal of the Russian Federation peacekeeping forces from the Republic. The Speaker Vadim Krasnoselsky proposed to stop speculations about the topic. As a deputy, he introduced legislative initiative on the introduction of criminal responsibility for denying the positive role of the Russian peacekeeping mission in Pridnestrovie. The corresponding addition to the Criminal Code provides for liability for acts or public statements expressing clear disrespect for the peacekeeping mission, as well as aimed at distorting its positive role or impairing the merit of the Russian Federation in the maintenance of peace, security and stability in PMR.

This legislative initiative was supported by members of the relevant committee. The Head of the parliamentary committee Galina Antyufeeva called the law-in-draft necessary and timely.
