The head of profile parliamentary committee Galina Antyufeeva presided at the first meeting of the working group on amending the law "On the Prosecutor's Office", as well as in the Arbitration Procedural and Civil Procedure Codes. March 15, deputies of the Supreme Council on the proposal of PMR Prosecutor adopted in the first reading the initiatives to change these legislative acts. The introduction of legislations for the consideration of people's deputies was explained by Anatoly Guretsky with the need to eliminate existing contradictions, as well as bringing the agrarian and industrial complex and the CPC in line with the norms of the basic law - "On PMR Prosecutor's Office". The legislations then aroused the rejection of the judiciary community - negative opinions on it during the plenary session were expressed by the Chairman of the Supreme Court Vladimir Rymar and the Chairman of the Arbitration Court Alexander Kiyko. Nevertheless, the overwhelming majority of parliamentarians supported adoption of the draft laws in the first reading. Along with this, in the context of preparing of legislations for their consideration in the second reading, it was decided to set up a working group. It was headed by the head of the parliamentary committee on legislation, defense, security, peacekeeping, law enforcement, protection of human rights and freedoms Galina Antyufeeva, who held the first meeting today.

During the period that passed from the plenary session, amendments were made from all subjects of legislative law to all three legislations adopted in the first reading. It concerned, in the main, the powers, procedures and time limits for the submission by the prosecutor's employees of protests and representations as to the facts of the violation of the law. At the same time, Russian experience and local law enforcement practice were taken as a basis. As expected, the main disputes over the contents of the amendments broke out between representatives of the country's Prosecutor's Office and the leaders of the judiciary. In this situation, chairperson of the working group Galina Antyufeeva often had to act as an "arbitrator" in order to subsequently substantiate the decision taken on the amendments to the colleagues in the deputy corps who are to receive the package of these legislations in the second reading.
