Surcharges for duty at home

A group of deputies of the Committee on Social Policy initiated amendments to the Labor Code, establishing the legal basis for organizing shifts at home for engineering and technical personnel, since hemodialysis procedures are impossible only by medical workers. It is necessary to supply water, control the consumption of salts and disinfectants for hemodialysis and other work for example. This can only be done by specialists of the engineering and technical service for the maintenance of hemodialysis equipment.

Only doctors and nursing staff can be on duty at home in the current legislation, that is, wait for a call to work. They receive a supplement to their salary in the amount of half an hour of working time for each hour of such duty. Last year, the allowances for duty at home were increased from 20% to 50% at the initiative of the deputies of the Supreme Council.

The deputies of the Committee on Social Policy at their meeting decided to recommend the adoption of amendments to the Labor Code in the first reading. The parliamentarians have developed the initiative on the basis of the appeal of the Republican Hospital for the invalids of the Great Patriotic War. It is necessary to establish additional payments for duty at home for engineering and technical personnel taking into account the specifics of the functioning of the hemodialysis department. The watch is carried out only on Sundays in the Republican hospital for disabled war veterans. Specialists will be able to receive an additional 1300 rubles per month for all weekend "working" days.
