There is only one question in the agenda of the extraordinary meeting of the Committee on Legislation, Law Enforcement, Protection of Rights and Freedoms - a parliamentary draft resolution "On approval of the scheme of formation and boundaries of electoral districts for the election of deputies of the Supreme Council of the sixth convocation". The importance and the need for the document is that, since its entry into force the election campaign was officially launched. Relevant committee has prepared an amendment that proposed to approve that this decision will enter into force on 3 September this year.

The amendments clarifying the boundaries of electoral districts, such as "Borisovsky" in the city of Bendery and capital - "Borodinsky", "Odesky", "Kakhovsky" were discussed during the meeting. As it was noted during the meeting of deputies, boundaries of districts shall be delineated in a way that it was convenient for the voters to come to particular place and vote.

According to the Central Electoral Commission, 43 constituencies will be created for the elections to the Supreme Council: 2 in Kamensky district, 3 in Dubossary District and 3 in  Grigoriopol District , 7 in Rybnitsa District,  8 in Slobodzeya and 8 in Bendery, 11 in Tiraspol. The number of voters should be around 10 thousand in each of them. Possible turning aside from the established norms of representation is considered by the Supreme Council.

The decision to approve the scheme of formation and boundaries of electoral districts for the election of deputies of the Supreme Council of the sixth convocation has to be taken by lawmakers in today's plenary session.
