Model regulation has been developed for city and district councils

Deputies considered the draft resolution of the PMR Supreme Council "On approval of the model regulations of local Councils of People's Deputies of the cities of Tiraspol, Bendery and districts of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic" in the course of the meeting of the Committee on Regional Policy, Local Government and Housing and Public Utilities in the first reading. Its authors were deputies of the Committee Ruslan Gareev and Boris German.

The draft resolution proposes to approve a model regulation that will define uniform rules for all city and district Councils of People's Deputies on the organizational structure, the procedure for the activities of the Council of People's Deputies, the powers of its bodies and officials, as well as the procedure for interaction with other state authorities and local government.

The Council of People's Deputies is a representative body of local government on its territory.

The model regulation has 60 articles in 12 sections. They regulate the legal basis for the activities of the Council of People's Deputies and its bodies, the principles of activity, the organizational structure of the Council of People's Deputies and the forms of participation of deputies in its work, establish certain procedures for decision-making, etc.

It is noted that the model regulation will be advisory in nature and can be taken into account when developing legal acts on issues related to the jurisdiction of the city or district Council of People's Deputies.

The resolution on the approval of the model regulations for city and district councils will be submitted to the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for consideration in the first reading.
