Discussing each amendment in detail

The package of legislations on migration theme includes four legislative proposals: "On the order of entry in PMR and exit out of PMR", "On Legal Status of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons in PMR", "On Migration Registration of Foreign Citizens and Stateless Persons in PMR", "On the right of citizens of PMR to freedom of movement, choice of place of residence inPMR". The legislations were adopted by parliamentarians in the first reading. The working group in order to prepare the documents for the second reading, taking into account the importance and novelty of these initiatives, was established under the auspices of the Parliamentary Committee on Legislation. It is composed of deputies of the Supreme Council and the representatives of the Interior Ministry, the KGB, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Joint Control Commission. 

Members of the working group at this meeting discussed provisions related to migration registration of foreigners and citizens without residence permit. In particular, the amendments, presented by the Foreign Ministry were discussed in detail. Among  approved by the working group regulations there is proposal to specify a list of identification documents of foreigners and stateless persons residing in Pridnestrovie. The necessary documents include suggested seaman's passport, foreign, official and diplomatic passport.

Amendments, proposed to specify the category of foreign nationals who have entered into the country on the invitation or with assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pridnestrovie were discussed today. This may be the first persons of foreign states, heads of international organizations, as well as their family members. The amendments also specify the foreign citizens arriving to the Republic for the implementation of international cooperation at the invitation of the respective executive body of state power of Pridnestrovie.Th

e provisions of the law-in-draft regulating the rights of PMR citizens to freedom of movement, choice of residence and place of residence within the republic, will be discussed at the next meeting of the working group.
