Prevention and treatment of cardiovascular diseases in the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic for 2022-2026" for 2024
Cardiovascular diseases occupy the leading positions in the mortality structure in Pridnestrovie. The number of patients with circulatory system pathology is growing every year. Thus, 733 cases of acute coronary syndrome were recorded last year. 16.7% more than the year before. The number of patients with acute cerebrovascular accident in 2024 amounted to 2688 cases, 1553 in 2023. Such negative dynamics are caused by the trend of aging of the republic's population and the predominance of the older age group in the general population.
A state target program has been in effect in the republic aimed at reducing the level of premature mortality from cardiovascular diseases since 2022. Last year, 2.3 million rubles were allocated from the republican budget as part of the implementation of this state program. Of these, more than 700 thousand rubles were spent on identifying and monitoring risk factors for the development of cardiovascular diseases. We are talking about determining the lipidogram of all people over 40 years old. More than 35 thousand Pridnestrovians were examined using this method. Pathology was detected in 15846 people.
Another 370 thousand rubles were allocated for the planned treatment of patients who have suffered an acute myocardial infarction – one of the most common medical problems in the modern world. 40% of cases end in death according to statistics. Often this occurs not only due to untimely treatment by doctors, severe form or improper treatment, but also due to non-compliance with prescribed recommendations.
Patients who have suffered an acute myocardial infarction are provided with medications for one year as part of the state program. Treatment is supported individually for each patient. Mainly, drugs are used to maintain normal blood pressure, reduce blood clotting and relieve swelling. 437 patients were provided with such medications last year.
One of the areas of the state program is the provision of emergency care to patients with cardiovascular diseases. Namely, providing intensive care units in cardiology and neurology departments with a drug, which forms the basis of drug therapy for acute myocardial infarction in the first hours after the onset of an attack. The costs of the republican budget in this area amounted to 1.1 million rubles in 2024.
Particular attention was paid to the early diagnosis of cardiovascular diseases within the framework of the program. All persons at risk of developing such diseases underwent an electrocardiogram to monitor their condition for this. Almost 100 thousand rubles were allocated from the budget in this area last year.
Reports on the implementation of all state programs will be included in the agenda of one of the next plenary sessions for approval by the deputy corps. The relevant parliamentary Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare has prepared the relevant draft resolutions of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
