Deputies of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare reviewed a number of reports prepared by the PMR Government. They affect the implementation of state targeted programs in the sphere of social policy and health care. There are six such programs in Pridnestrovie.
The Equal Opportunities state program was approved in 2019. It is designed for three years to draw attention to the problems of people with special needs and make the environment more favorable for them. As part of the state program, ramps and handrails were installed for the disabled throughout the republic to help them move freely. Last year, more than 400 people with disabilities received prosthetic and orthopedic products: wheelchairs, hearing aids, medical bandages, corsets, walkers. 225 prosthetic, orthopedic and special shoes, 116 pairs of crutches and 35 walking sticks were given. A cycle of cultural events for people with special needs of different age groups was held. They were attended by over two thousand Pridnestrovians with special needs.
48 orphans in 2020 received their own housing at the expense of the republican budget. These are data on the implementation of the state program for providing housing for orphans and children left without parental care for 2020. The program itself was adopted in 2018 and is valid until 2026.
More than 8 million rubles were spent on the purchase of apartments and houses for orphans last year. 9 apartments - in Tiraspol and Bendery, 2 apartments were bought in Dnestrovsk and Dubossary district, 3 - in Grigoriopol district, 12 residential premises were purchased in Slobodzeya district and 11 - in Rybnitsa.
It was possible to cover the child population with preventive vaccinations against ten infections as part of the implementation of the "Immunization of the population in PMR for 2016–2020" program. These are tuberculosis, hepatitis B, whooping cough and other types of infections. Doctors provided early and high-quality diagnostics of measles and rubella.
Deputies of the relevant committee considered the report on the implementation of the state program for the prevention of tuberculosis for 2016–2020. The epidemiological situation on tuberculosis in Pridnestrovie remains unfavorable, despite the decline in indicators following the results of the previous 5 years, the Head of the Ministry of Health noted.
Pridnestrovie has a program for the prevention of HIV / AIDS infection and sexually transmitted infections. The state program not only provides treatment for all patients with HIV infection, but also works to prevent the transmission of such infections among the population. More than 2 million rubles were spent on the program last year.
The main goal of the "Oncology: improving oncological care for the population of Pridnestrovie" state program is to ensure the diagnosis of diseases at early stages and treatment, and after that - the rehabilitation of cancer patients.
Sergey Cheban added that the profile committee is satisfied with the reports prepared by the PMR Government. The deputies of the Committee on Social Policy and Healthcare will recommend the Supreme Council to adopt the reports at the plenary session.
