The right to pass intermediate, final and state (final) certification in accredited universities, colleges, technical schools and schools is guaranteed by the law-in-draft adopted today by the parliamentarians in the course of the plenary session in the final reading.
The current law "On Education" states: those who study in an unaccredited educational institution or study in the format of family education can be certified in accredited institutions. However, these norms were not fixed in other laws – "On Higher and Postgraduate Vocational Education" and "On the Development of Primary and Secondary Vocational Education". Corresponding law-in-draft was developed in order to eliminate inconsistencies.
Amendments were made during the preparation of the law-in-draft for the second reading. The reason for their development was the precedent when the college could not renew the state accreditation, and its graduates received certificates that did not meet state standards. The right of such students to apply to an accredited educational institution and pass certification in the external format will be enshrined at the level of the law now. The same right was given to those who study in the format of family education or self-education.
The law-in-draft was adopted in the second final reading and will be sent for signature to the PMR President.
