Members of the Presidium of the Supreme Council discussed legislations and regulations that will be included in the agendas of the upcoming plenary sessions. Among them there are amendments and additions to the Constitution, the law “On the Regulations of the Supreme Council” and the PMR Electoral Code. The authors of the amendments is are large group of legislators. The amendments to the laws have a single goal - reducing the expenses of the consolidated budget, reducing the number of deputies, improving the scheme of forming constituencies, reducing the cases of splitting rural settlements into two constituencies.
Amendments to the law “On Road Safety” are submitted for consideration in the first reading. The law-in-draft was developed by deputies Galina Antyufeyeva and Oleg Petrik and is aimed at creating additional conditions for organizing road safety and eliminating the ambiguous application of the norms of the law in practice.
Consideration of legislations of a social orientation is in the plans. Thus, the deputies will discuss amendments to the law “On the Principles of the Protection of Citizens' Health”, submitted for consideration by the President of the Republic. The government submitted law-in-draft to the Supreme Council amending the law “On the social protection of persons with disabilities”. The profile committee approved the initiative and recommended the deputies to take it at once in two readings.
The government proposes to make a number of amendments to the law “On State Support of Long-livers” As stated in the explanatory note, the purpose of the law-in-draft is to establish social justice and prevent a decrease in the amount of benefits for the republic’s long-livers in connection with the entry into force of amendments to the Housing Code. In particular, it is proposed to restore the right of citizens aged 100 years and older to the privilege on payment of services for the collection and removal of solid and liquid household waste. At present, there are 4 long-liver residents in the republic: Tiraspol - 1 person, 2 in Dubossary, and 1 person in Slobodzeya.
The deputies of the Committee on Social Policy Sergey Cheban, Ilya Vasilyev, Vladimir Pelin sponsored the initiative that amends the law “On Pharmaceutical Activities”. The purpose of the law-in-draft is to improve the procedure for state registration of medicines and medical products, as well as the introduction of a procedure for returning low-quality medicines to manufacturers and the elimination of gaps in the sphere of terminology.
The next plenary session is scheduled for June 5th. This day, it is planned to hear reports of the chief editors of state-owned media for 2018: newspapers the Pridnestrovie, the Adevairul Nistrean, the Gomin, television of the First Pridnestrovian, the News Agency Pridnestrovie and Radio 1.

Tomorrow’s plenary meeting agenda includes more than 20 issues. Among them there are additions to the law “On additional measures aimed at stabilizing the economy of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic”. It is about providing support to organizations of the shoe and clothing industry to retain their skilled workers and attract new workers to the main production. The agenda also includes amendments introducing amendments to the laws “Special tax regime - on self-employed persons” and “Special tax regime - patent system of taxation”.
