Deputies of the parliamentary Committee on Education Igor Buga, Andrei Safonov and Pavel Shinkaryuk propose to revise the approach to state accreditation of educational organizations.
The authors explained that there are two procedures that establish the compliance of educational organizations with state standards according to the current legislation in Pridnestrovie. These are certification and accreditation of educational organizations.
The deputies proposed to combine certification and accreditation into one procedure – state accreditation of educational activities. This will reduce the bureaucratic burden on the heads of educational organizations in their opinion.
The changes are proposed to be made to the Law "On Education" and 7 related laws. The deputies supported the package of initiatives of their parliamentarians in the first reading in the course of the plenary session. Work on the legislations will continue in the relevant parliamentary Committee.
The deputies supported the law-in-draft that will allow all educational organizations to independently develop and approve educational programs in the first reading. The draft law was developed by deputies of the Committee on Education, Public Associations and Mass Media Igor Buga, Andrei Safonov and Pavel Shinkaryuk.
The Law on Education proposes to establish new terms – "state basic general education program" and "model educational program of primary (secondary) vocational education". Their development is within the competence of the Ministry of Education.
All educational programs that will be developed locally must meet the requirements of state standards and programs approved by the Ministry of Education, the authors of the law-in-draft clarified.
The ability to develop educational programs locally will reduce the excessive burden on schoolchildren and students, according to the deputies. Educational institutions will be able in this case to more flexibly and effectively adapt the educational process to modern realities, which in turn will allow schoolchildren to better assimilate educational material, and students to more effectively master practical skills. Work on the law-in-draft on amendments and additions to the Law "On Education" will continue in the relevant parliamentary Committee.
