Questions for the future

17.07.2019

Even the one and a half hour report by the head of the supreme executive body of Government Alexander Martynov, did not dot all Is. The consequence of this were questions and speeches of parliamentarians. Moreover, most of them did not so much concern the results of the last year, as the prospects for the development of the state next year. If all of them are combined, then the formulation of one common question will sound like this: “How will we live further?”

It should be understood that the deputies do not express their own opinions, they ask and speak on behalf of voters.

The response of the Head of Government was based on a conservative scenario of the situation. According to him, in the future we can expect external risks. If these pessimistic forecasts are not justified, then it will be possible to return to the decision to raise the standard of living after the first quarter of next year.

Parliamentarian Peter Pasat, who considers that we have a bureaucratic apparatus, which includes 20 ministries and public services, 7 state administrations, said that only 7 ministers in Switzerland, with the highest salaries in Europe, spoke about budget savings. .

According to the Prime Minister, Pridnestrovie spends 2% of GDP on the functioning of government bodies, which is less than in other countries with developing economies.

When answering this question, Alexander Martynov operated on numbers. If in the 17th year the budget deficit was 681 million rubles, then in the 18th year it fell to 161 million rubles. These numbers indicate that we are learning to live within our means.

Parliamentarian Vadim Levitsky was interested in the nature of unfilled vacancies. The Minister for Social Protection and Labor Elena Kulichenko noted the low qualification and educational level of job applicants - for these reasons they are not hired.

Viktor Guzun complained about the lack of facilities in the program of capital investments across Dnestrovsk and inquired about the economic efficiency of the state subsidization program for the interest rate on loans issued to economic entities.

The parliamentarian Vitaly Kalin raised the issue of the shortage of doctors, in particular, pediatricians, and also wondered if the Government was not working on the possibility of monetization of benefits provided to citizens on travel by public transport.

The Government report was noted by deputies of the Supreme Council. Now, for further joint work with the Government, they are awaiting the timely submission to the legislative body of the law-in-draft “On the republican budget for 2020”.
