Among them there are both changes and additions to the current legislation, as well as new laws in the legal field of the republic. For example, this is the new law “On the internal affairs bodies of the PMR”. It will improve the efficiency of the professional work of internal affairs officers, and will increase responsibility for corruption at the legislative level.

The Supreme Council in the spring session continued its activities to preserve the social orientation of state policy. Despite new challenges from Moldova – new rules of customs procedures that deprive the budget of Pridnestrovie of millions of rubles, since February 2024, laws were adopted to increase by 10% the amount of old-age pensions and social payments, compensation and benefits for motherhood and childhood at the expense of increasing the size of the estimated minimum wage.

Salaries for teachers in the education system and in the field of social protection were increased by 25%in February. All medical and preventive institutions of the republic, except dentists and sanitary and epidemiological stations, switched to a pilot salary project from April 1. Salaries increased for almost 8 thousand health workers in Pridnestrovie.

The Supreme Council together with the Government continued to implement the tasks set by the President of the PMR to implement the state’s social policy and to improve the standard of living of the citizens of Pridnestrovie. The Supreme Council made changes to reduce the documentation burden for teachers and to improve the health of adults and children, for example, a ban on the use of phones in school lessons and a ban on the sale of vapes to minors.

The deputy corps took measures of state support for business entities, introducing changes to legislation in the spring session. The law on a simplified taxation system for entrepreneurs and the procurement law were improved.

Some of the tasks set by the President of the PMR in his January message to the Supreme Council have been completed. The Supreme Council, together with the Government, continues to work on other instructions at working meetings and meetings. This is, for example, the draft Budget Code of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic

and the new law on wages for public sector employees. The Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will return to work on them in September after the end of the parliamentary holidays, during which deputies will continue to work in their constituencies.
