Ceremonial event dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the Republican Clinical Hospital, the leading medical institution of Pridnestrovie, was held in the Palace of the Republic today. More than 200 employees of the Republican Clinical Hospital, including doctors, nurses and junior medical staff, representatives of the hospital's non-medical services gathered for the celebration, where they were presented with awards for their services in the field of healthcare. Vice Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva addressed the staff of the Republican Clinical Hospital with congratulations on behalf of the deputy corps.
A film dedicated to the history of the hospital, founded in 1934, was shown to those gathered in the hall. The audience was able to observe how a small hospital town with 180 hospital beds and several departments gradually turned into the largest medical center of the state level. The "Republican Clinical Hospital" State Institution, which Tiraspol residents call "treatment town", is currently a multidisciplinary medical institution, including an inpatient department with 670 beds and an outpatient and polyclinic service designed for 234.5 thousand visits per year.
The long-awaited moment arrived after the congratulations – the award ceremony. The best employees and veterans of the Republican Clinical Hospital received state and departmental awards. Nurses, doctors, and employees of other departments of the hospital were awarded orders, medals, and certificates of honor for many years of work and outstanding achievements in the development of healthcare in Pridnestrovie. This was recognition of their daily contribution to the health of the population. One of the awardees was a young surgeon – head, neck, and reconstructive surgery department chief of the Republican Clinical Hospital Nikolay Gorshkov. He was awarded today the title of Honored Doctor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic.
Young specialists play an important role in the future of medicine in Pridnestrovie. Sixth-year students of the medical faculty of Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, already working at the Republican Clinical Hospital, embody this hope by actively participating in the life of the hospital and learning from more experienced colleagues.
The Republican Clinical Hospital remains the flagship of healthcare, actively developing and adapting to modern challenges. The festive event ended with a general mood of confidence that the coordinated work of the team of doctors, nurses, and young specialists will lead to even greater achievements.
