20.09.2019

Together with the parliamentarians, their colleagues from the Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies under the Chairman of the Supreme Council began work in the new political season. The founders of the republic invited the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the Parliament Speaker Alexander Korshunov, Chairman of the Government Alexander Martynov, representatives of the deputy corps, Government, and Heads of state administrations to the meeting after the holidays.

The President made information on the political and socio-economic situation in the republic. He built his speech on the answers to questions that had been received from the members of the Consultative Assembly. The problems that have arisen in the last 3-4 months concern literally every Pridnestrovian.

Vadim Krasnoselsky intends to discuss it with Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak on September 26 in Moscow in an expanded format in Russia. The negotiation agenda includes the entire spectrum of Russian-Pridnestrovian relations, as well as the process of resolving the conflict between Pridnestrovie and Moldova. The “Reconciliation of Hours” will be held ahead of the next meeting of the Permanent Meeting on Political Affairs as part of the negotiation process on the Pridnestrovian settlement in the “5 + 2” format. It is planned for the first decade of October in Bratislava.

The most acute for the republic for this period are banking and gas issues. They cannot but excite those who stood at the origins of the Pridnestrovian statehood, and who today display an active civic position.

Vadim Krasnoselsky gave both questions detailed answers. He focused on the background of relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova in the banking sector.

Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that closing the accounts of six Pridnestrovian enterprises is actually a banking, economic blockade.

On January 1, 2020 at 10.00 the contract on the transit of Russian gas through Ukraine expires. If until this time the two states, with the participation of European mediators, fail to reach a compromise and conclude a new contract, even a short-term, gas supply, including Pridnestrovie, will be terminated.

Vadim Krasnoselsky informed members of the Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies about the meeting of the Security Council held on the eve, where it was decided to develop an action plan in case of force majeure circumstances related to gas supplies. It provides for a number of non-standard events, the search for sources of financing.

The issue of disposal of ammunition stored in warehouses OGRV in Kolbasna. The President considers it necessary to conduct audit, to give an expert opinion on their condition. It will take time. The Pridnestrovian side is primarily concerned about the observance of technological and environmental safety in the process of possible disposal of ammunition.

The founders of the republic could not ask a question that worries all Pridnestrovians, the rise in prices for meat and fish. This is explained by several factors, the main of which is that in market economy, price is determined only on the basis of supply and demand. The state does not regulate the prices of these types of goods, with the exception of 19 of a social nature. As it turned out from a dialogue with entrepreneurs, the increase in the cost of meat, for example, was affected by an increase in the price of feed and young pigs imported from Western Europe.

Many of the questions that were received in advance or voiced in the hall concerned the provision of medicines to Pridnestrovians, especially those categories that are eligible for benefits, favored development of domestic manufacturers, obstacles for the movement of vehicles with neutral license plates, tenders for procurement for the needs of the state, the state of housing fund and other topics.
