The support for entrepreneurs and organizations that cannot work due to quarantine has been extended in Pridnestrovie

25.12.2020

Support for entrepreneurs and organizations whose activities have been suspended due to quarantine has been extended until the end of the quarantine restrictions. Deputies made changes to the law on measures of state support today, they were sent by the President of the PMR in the mode of legislative necessity.

According to the law, individual entrepreneurs who, due to the quarantine restrictions, have suspended or restricted their activities, can count on recalculating the paid (accrued) tax payments. This is a unified social tax, a compulsory insurance premium, personal income tax, and a tax on potential annual income. It is necessary to submit an application to the territorial tax inspectorates in order for the state to provide such support.

The Supreme Council granted the PMR President the right to prohibit the export of certain types of goods to protect the internal market within the framework of the same law-in-draft. This applies to wheat, barley and corn. The ban on the export of cereals of agricultural crops from Pridnestrovie was introduced on June 16, 2020, then due to low yields, the ban on the export of wheat, barley and corn was extended until December 31. The special commission, having considered the results of the 2020 harvesting campaign, determined that the restriction on the export of these types of grain should be extended until the new harvest in 2021.

According to the Ministry of Agriculture, the harvested volumes of wheat and barley will only be enough to cover the needs of the domestic market in flour, cereals, seeds for the next sowing campaign, as well as to meet the needs of animal husbandry. The gross harvest of corn, although it exceeds the demand of the domestic market of the republic, requires export controlled by the state. Corn is a fodder base for livestock and poultry farming first of all.

The Minister of Economic Development Sergey Obolonik, answering the question of the deputies representing the interests of the agrarians, emphasized that the ban on corn is not 100%. At the request of farmers, a special commission will operate, which will give permission for export.

Amendments to the law "On measures of state support in connection with the introduction of a state of emergency and (or) restrictive measures (quarantine) aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection caused by a new type of COVID-19 virus" will enter into force on January 1, 2021.

Deputies of the Supreme Council in the course of the plenary session adopted the state program to improve the treatment of patients with oncological diseases. It is designed for 5 years and provides for the purchase of the necessary medical equipment, medicines, training and advanced training of doctors.
