Parliamentarians during the plenary session supported two legislative initiatives relating to amendments to the law “On Income Tax on Individuals”. The author of one of them was the deputy of the Supreme Council Sergey Cheban. The parliamentarian proposed to supplement the list of citizens who are granted a standard tax deduction, parents who pay alimony in good faith.
As the parliamentarian noted, the law-in-draft was developed on the basis of appeals of citizens who found themselves in such a situation. According to the law, the size of the standard tax deduction is 150 MW of monthly wages. According to the author the amount of income tax reduction for a parent paying alimony, should be in the case of faithful fulfillment of this duty. For example, there is a different system for granting standard tax deductions in Russia: the size of family income affects the reduction of income tax. Considering our specifics, the parliamentarians supported the law-in-draft in the first reading.
Amendments to the law “On Personal Income Tax” was prepared by the Government. The law-in-draft provides for a reduction in the tax burden on citizens who participate in the program of concessional lending. As the Director of the State Tax Service, Maxim Badenko explained, the legislative initiative was prepared to comply with the provisions of the law “On social protection of war veterans” as well as taking into account the social orientation of concessional lending to citizens who became disabled as a result of injuries, injuries received during the defense of the republic or actions in the Republic of Afghanistan.
