Expenses of the Road Fund and the Capital Investment Fund will be increased. The Supreme Council of the PMR adopted law-in-draft on amendments and additions to the law on the republican budget for 2023 in the first reading today. The Government proposed to increase the expenses of the Road Fund and the Capital Investment Fund. It is planned to use the financial balances of 2022 and the reserves formed at the beginning of this year, when a state of emergency was in effect in Pridnestrovie, to increase government spending.
The explanatory note to the law-in-draft indicates such areas of spending the Road Fund as fencing along Matsneva Street in Bendery, reconstruction of storm sewers along Industrialnaya Street in the area of the Bendery Meat Processing Plant. The State Administration of Slobodzeya District will use the allocated money to repair the asphalt concrete pavement on the emergency sections of the Konstantinovka-Nikolskoye and Vladimirovka-Frunze-Novo-Kotovsk roads, as well as the construction, reconstruction and repair of storm sewer networks along the border of Sukleya and Tiraspol Mileva street. Repair of emergency sections of roads is also planned in Rybnitsa, Grigoriopol and Dubossary regions. Additional funds will be used in Kamenka to carry out work on the installation of drainage trays at km 149 of the Tiraspol-Kamenka road, in the area of the descent near the village of Katerinovka, as well as in the direction of the villages of Rashkovo-Valya-Adynca.
It is planned as part of the Road Fund to allocate about 15.5 million rubles for the maintenance and repair of street lighting networks for public roads.
According to Viktor Guzun, they want to send an additional 170 million rubles to the Capital Investment Fund in order to continue the repair work that has already begun on a number of social and infrastructure facilities – these are schools, kindergartens, and healthcare facilities. It is also planned to allocate funds for new facilities that require major repairs in the first place.
The Supreme Council adopted amendments and additions to the law on the budget for 2023 in the first reading. The Economic Policy Committee, taking into account the amendments, will prepare in the near future law-in-draft for consideration at the plenary session in the second reading.
