The College of Commerce in the capital is celebrating a half-century anniversary. Deputy Head of the parliamentary committee on public associations, sports, information and youth policy Andrei Safonov is among those who came to congratulate the anniversaries..

The College has been conducting its pedigree since 1969. Then, on the orders of the Minister of Trade of the MSSR, a culinary and trade school was opened in Tiraspol. Due to the lack of adequate material facilities for classes, three semi-basement rooms in multi-storey buildings of the Oktyabrsky microdistrict were temporarily allocated. Difficulties were with the teaching staff, and with the material and technical base. However, they did not become an obstacle for the preparation of qualified culinary specialists, confectioners, waiters, and sellers.

The College at the beginning of the two thousandth moves to a new building in Lenin street. Its construction was also carried out with great difficulties - the state did not have enough money. In market time, there was a need for the training of merchants, food service technologists, managers, marketers. In 2005, at the All-Russian Forum "Educational Environment" at VDNKh, the technical school presented the vocational education system of PMR. A little later, the capital's college of commerce was included in the register of trade colleges in Russia.

145 young men and women in September of this year crossed the threshold of the school, adding to 400 students already studying there. Every second of the 46 teachers and masters of vocational training working there is an excellent student in public education, has the highest and first qualification categories.

Kind words at the solemn meeting in honor of the anniversary were heard about the "Alma Mater", about the teachers of the technical school and its former students. Among them there are congratulations from the Chairman of the Supreme Council Alexander Korshunov.

The speaker of the parliament expressed confidence that the high professional level of the teaching staff and the created training base will continue to be a solid foundation for effective work on the formation of high-class personnel for the republic.

Today Tiraspol College of Commerce is a modern organization of secondary vocational education. It has study rooms, a technological, chemical and analytical laboratory, training shops, a bar, a computer room, a library with a reading room, a sports ground, and an official website. Close ties were established at the technical school with the Moscow University of Commerce and the All-Russian Industrial Center for Advanced Training of Trade Workers, with the Chelyabinsk Institute for the Development of Professional Education, the Arzamas Branch of the Nizhny Novgorod State University, and Serpukhov Provincial Professional College. Russian professional and educational standards and training programs are being successfully implemented here. Starting next year, training will begin on the specialty "Cooking and Confectionery." And this means that the capital's college of commerce had a past, there is a present, and there will certainly be a future.
