The result of the semi-annual work of the parliamentary committee for state regional policy is several dozens of considered legislative initiatives, including those developed by the Committee's deputies. Eleven laws have been adopted and directed to the President for signature.
One of the tasks set by the deputies of the profile committee was to remove a number of legal gaps in the provision of services for the collection and removal of solid domestic waste. If there were no problems in the cities with its implementation, in rural areas, the optional procedure for concluding agreements with specialized enterprises often led to the formation of unauthorized landfills. The deputy corps during the spring session added to the Housing Code the norm, which obliges all citizens to conclude a contract for the export of solid waste.
Among the adopted there is amendment to the law "On the lease of state and municipal property". The author, parliamentarian Gregory Dyachenko, proposed to increase to 10 years the possible term of the lease agreement for city and republican organizations. For organizations of other forms of ownership, the right to conclude lease contracts for municipal and state property for a period of up to five years is provided. According to the deputy, long-term contractual relations will encourage tenants to keep their property entrusted to them in proper technical condition.
The deputies of the profile committee supported the initiative of citizens of the village of Zagornoye, who expressed a desire to unite with the village of Kitskany. At the time there were only a few dozen inhabitants, and the settlement itself had long been considered one of the Kitskany streets. The unification of the villages took place on April 2, 2018.
In addition, during the spring session, active legislative work continued to improve the legal framework that defines the basis for the activities of local authorities. Parliamentarians actively interact with representatives of cities and regions, support their initiatives.
