The staff of the Ministry of Justice and its subordinate units at the meeting of the extended board summed up the work carried out last year. The meeting was attended by the President Vadim Krasnoselsky, deputy Chairman of the Supreme Council Committee on Legislation, Defense, Security, Peacekeeping, Law Enforcement Agencies, Protection of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms Oleg Petrik, Deputy Prime Minister Stanislav Kasap, Republic Prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky, members of the Government, heads of judicial authorities.

The Minister of Justice Alexander Tumba, made a report and plans for this year. She elaborated on the results of the inherent functions of the Ministry of Justice. The range is very, very wide: rule-making, legal and legal expertise, state supervision, the work of notaries, bailiffs, the State Penitentiary Service, civil registry offices, registration of legal entities, real estate operations, etc. As the President figuratively said about the range of responsibilities that is connected with this department, “The Ministry of Justice is a state lawyer”.

The employees in the past year paid special attention to the examination of laws and other regulatory acts. She, in particular, was subjected to 175 legislations, (compared with 2017, a 40% increase), 350 laws signed by the President and entered into force. In the same series - decrees of the President and government regulations.

The work of some departments of the Ministry of Justice is best characterized by numbers. Last year, 269 new legal entities were registered, while their total number decreased, 53 applications for the forced liquidation of legal entities were sent to the Arbitration Court, 550 licenses were issued, 67,446 notarial acts were performed, 29,644 applications for real estate transactions were granted, 144 new objects were registered . In the regional offices of the registry office, work has been completed on creating an electronic database of civil status acts.

In 2018, the State Supervision Service conducted 4,868 supervisory measures, 4,299 of which were unscheduled, 2,098 applications from citizens were considered. At the same time, 6,756 violations of the law were revealed, 2,094 of which only were eliminated within the prescribed time. Last year, 934 protocols on administrative offenses were drawn up by the staff, the amount of fines exceeded 297,000 rubles.

The 1 st Deputy Minister of Justice Vitaly Ischenko during the meeting of the Collegium reported on the situation in prisons. According to him, last year there were no riots and group escapes, and the crime situation remained under control.

The prosecutor gave specific examples of the sluggishness of the officers of the bailiff service and state supervision.

The speech of the President completed the work of the expanded board of the Ministry of Justice.

 Speaking to the Collegium members, the President gave a number of recommendations to the staff of the relevant ministry.
