Parliamentary and public hearings on "Improving pension legislation" passed in the State Duma lasted four and a half hours. They were attended by about 600 people, more than 20 speakers from the central rostrum are experts, representatives of civil society institutions, regions. Earlier the law-in-draft, aimed at improving the pension law, passed the first reading in the lower house of the Russian parliament on July 19.
He pointed out that the discussion was open, with different points of view expressed by the political parties represented in the State Duma.
In this regard, Vyacheslav Volodin considers, it is extremely important to hold additional consultations with the government, which introduced the law-in-draft.
At the same time, he considers, it is necessary to discuss other issues related to pension provision for citizens, which were designated by representatives of parliamentary factions, the Public Chamber, trade unions, employers.
Speaking about the legislative initiative on the abolition of deputy premiums to retirement, Vyacheslav Volodin said that it is worth discussing it when it comes to the State Duma.
He emphasized that nobody wants to make decisions that oblige our citizens to work longer, but there is no choice, because according to the opinion of key expert institutions, including the Accounting Chamber, we are already ten years late with the adoption of this decision.
Further development of all proposals voiced during the parliamentary-public hearings will be conducted within the framework of the working group established in the State Duma. It was headed by Deputy Chairman of the State Duma Olga Timofeeva. In the time that has elapsed since the adoption of this decision, she has already held consultations with those who could take part in the discussion.
According to the head of the working group Olga Timofeeva, the working group will include the representatives of the Russian Union of Industrialists and Entrepreneurs, "Russian Support", "Business Russia", Public Chamber, experts of the Higher School of Economics and the Russian Academy of Science. The State Duma will be represented by representatives of all four factions and five committees - on labor, social policy and veterans' affairs, on budget and taxes, on education and science, on health protection and on regional policy, problems of the North and the Far East.
The first meeting of the working group is scheduled for the period from August 30 to September 2. One hundred amendments to the law-in-draft on changes in the parameters of the pension system have been formulated, and the deadline for granting them has been extended to September 24.
