Consideration of complaints and appeals of citizens is a priority in the activities of the supervisory authority. This was announced to the deputies of the Supreme Council by the Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Anatoly Guretsky, presenting a report on the work for 2021.

4860 complaints about violations of the rights and freedoms of citizens were received last year, more than 600 of them through the Internet reception. The Prosecutor's Office has carried out a large amount of work to verify complaints on the basis of the current legislation. The Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Anatoly Guretsky said that more than 700 appeals were satisfied.

The prosecutor's office carried out work in terms of the implementation of pension, housing, labor legislation. The number of complaints about non-payment of wages has decreased recently, there is a positive trend on this issue, Anatoly Guretsky emphasized. He noted that under special control is the observance of the rights of orphans and children left without parental care.

As part of the Prosecutor's report, the deputies raised the problem of non-compliance with certain legislative norms by the executive authorities and said that parliamentarians sometimes experience difficulties in requesting information of interest.

According to the Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, checks were carried out on this issue over the past year and appropriate response measures were taken. Attention was paid to supervision over compliance with the requirements of budget legislation, including cases of irrational spending of budget funds. Checks are constantly carried out in this direction and if violations are detected, prosecutorial response measures are taken.

As for the activities of the supervisory authority in the field of lawmaking, the prosecutor's office has done a lot of work to identify legislative gaps.

Vice Speaker of the Parliament Galina Antyufeeva noted the close cooperation of the Parliament with the Prosecutor's Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in improving legislation. Supervisory body specialists participate in plenary sessions and working groups on relevant legislations, in the field of protecting the rights and legitimate interests of citizens in particular.
